To kill a mockingbird

In class on Wednesday we talked about which character in the book inspired us the most. A lot of people said different characters for different reasons, but the one character I picked was Scout. I personally really like Scout so far because she likes to role with the big boys. She’s not afraid of anything except for the Radleys, but that’s exceptional. When I first started to read the book I thought she was a boy, due to her tom boy personality. When I found out that she was a girl, the first thing I said was “awesome!” I can totally relate to her sometimes. Scout doesn’t like guys to think of her as some girl that’s a “wussy” instead she likes to show that she can be just like them. That’s like me, I don’t like guys thinking that they have all the power and that there the ones in charge. Its honestly time for the girls to step up. Scout is only in grade 1, but acts like she’s a grade 5 boy. I think its really cool that she’s herself, and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks.

a MILLION dollars.

If I had 1 million dollars, what would I do with it?
I would probably donate most of it to cancer research. But what would I do with the rest of it?
WELL... I would probably buy a life time supply of chocolate pudding, just because I love chocolate pudding that much. Then I would by the apartment of my dreams for when I'm older. Design it with the cutest furniture, and make it totally me. This apartment would probably be in New York, and I'd be living the New York life. I would also send my mom somewhere really nice as a thank you for everything that she has done for me, and same with my dad. Knowing that after I'd bought all of these things I'd still have a fairly large amount of money left over. So, I would put away the money that i would need for the rest of my life, then give it away to charities, most likely somewhere in Africa. SO YEAH!

BODY LANGUAGE

Body Language,
Between men and women

Men and Women are from different planets they say, the lack of understanding and communication between these two species are so limited you tend to think we speak different languages. Well there is one language that both sexes display that are completely different and that’s called Body Language. Body language is the key to understanding each other. Men tend to portray three behavioural features and that is confidence, dominance, and assertiveness. Women on the other hand are quite different, they like to show nurturing behaviours, such as letting our feelings come through and showing our emotions and how we feel. Most men say what they mean and hopefully mean what they say. Their speech is straightforward and to the point. Women, on the other hand, are generally more complex and subtle, especially when it comes to conversation. For example, you’ll ask a man how his day was and he would answer simply by saying “Good” or “Tiring” or so on, sometimes if he wants to be descriptive he’ll tell you about it in a sentence. Go ahead and ask a women that same question, but get comfortable, because you’ll be in for the story of your life. Men will rarely give you compliments, instead there more likely to say a joke. Women, on the other hand, love to give you compliments and some of them will rarely joke. Men adore speaking about their achievements and successes. Women are sometimes not as fond of speaking much about their abilities, but about other things they have done. Women are more sensitive than men, and can be easily hurt by rude and impolite comments. Men face difficulties, while speaking about their inner feelings, but on the other hand women love speaking there opinions and there feelings. When talking to a women, body language is very important. They can instantly pick up by your body language if your listening or not. They especially don’t like it when you sit there and fidget while she is trying to have a conversation with you. Join into her conversation and really try to see where she’s coming from. In our society it is not usual that a women will tell a man straight out that she is interested in him, instead they use there body language to give out the sign that there attracted to them. Women who are trying to get a man's attention are easy to point out, even from across the room; virtually every aspect of their body language changes drastically. For starters, they lean toward the man they are trying to attract and they frequently make eye contact. They laugh more often than usual and smile constantly, regardless of whether or not the guy is funny. They chew on their lips and their faces are more animated. Flirtatious women also tend to fidget more. For example, they might fiddle with their jewellery, twisting rings and tugging at necklaces. This is due to nervous excitement; because their hearts are beating a little faster than usual, they need some sort of outlet for their tension.

Body language is key for both men and women. With out it you would not be able to understand each other.

Q & A with Emma and Damian

Q & A with Emma and Damian

(Emma) Q: What does it mean when a guy ignores one girl and talks to another?

(Damian) A: Honestly? We probably don’t even know were doing it, and if we do its most likely to mean were trying to make the other girl jealous or were just more attracted to the other one.

(Damian) Q: How is a girls body language different from when she approaches an attractive guy from an unattractive guy?

(Emma) A: Girls tend to act more relaxed around unattractive guys cause they feel they don’t have to impress them as much as they would around an attractive guy. Why? I have no idea.

(Emma) Q: Why & How do guys act different when there around their best guy friends compared to when there around a group of girls?

(Damian) A: Were more careful with what we say when were around girls, but when it comes to our best guy friends we say whatever we want. We also act sort of tough around girls, but with out making it obvious. We just don’t want to show our inner soft side.

(Damian) Q: Why do guys always have to ask out the girls, why not visa versa?

(Emma) A: Well guys can be very intimidating, and you never know what’s going to be their next move. Personally girls like to play hard to get, and when a guys asks them out they feel like their mission is complete.

(Emma) Q: What does it mean when a guy is constantly staring in your direction?

(Damian) A: He’s probably just really interested in you, and is wondering where you are and what your doing.

(Damian) Q: What kind of body language do you expect from a guy when your talking to him?

(Emma) A: I expect a guy to be listening and paying attention to what I have to say. I also like to hear what he has to say about it. My advice, don’t fidget when a girl is talking to you because she’ll automatically think you lost interest. Also agree with her when she lays down a statement.

(Emma) Q: What three behaviours are men most likely to display while with a women?

(Damian) A: We like to show confidence, dominance, and assertiveness. Its that simple.

(Damian) Q: What three behaviours are women most likely to display while with a man?

(Emma) A: I’d have to say were most likely to show our emotions, let our feelings come through and show nurturing behaviours.

(Emma) Q: When you guys flirt, does it automatically mean that your attracted to us, or its just fun and games?

(Damian) A: Well we wouldn’t flirt with you if we weren’t attracted to you one bit. So yeah, if we are flirting with you, yes we are attracted to you, but don’t take it as we want to be with you forever and get married. Were just trying to get to know you a little bit more.
